Privacy

What we collect
- Email address (so we can deliver your reviewed translation).
- The text you submit (source + AI translation), and the corrected output.
- Standard request metadata (IP, user agent, time) for abuse prevention.
- Stripe payment metadata (transaction IDs only — Stripe handles card details).
Where it goes
- AI inference is on-prem. Pre-screening runs on our own server in Singapore. Your text is never sent to OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any third-party AI service.
- Database hosting. Operational data (jobs, corrections, glossaries) is stored on Supabase's Singapore region (
ap-southeast-1), encrypted at rest and in transit. - Email delivery. Transactional emails are sent through Google Workspace (our `thelanguagestudio.sg` domain).
- Payments. Stripe handles all card data; we never see card numbers.
How long we keep it
- Self-service jobs: source text, AI translation, and corrected text are nullified 30 days after delivery. Job metadata (timestamps, scores, language pair) is retained for analytics.
- Enterprise / retainer clients: per-contract retention; default 90 days past delivery, or as agreed.
- Anonymised translation memory entries (used to improve future review quality for the same client) are retained indefinitely. No client emails are stored in TM.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data, ever.
- We don't use your text to train cloud AI models.
- We don't fingerprint visitors with third-party trackers.
Your rights (PDPA)
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@thelanguagestudio.sg. We respond within 14 days.
