Terms of Service

What we provide
The Language Studio (operated by The Language Collective LLP) provides translation review and proofreading services for AI-generated text. We are not a certified translation service. Output is intended for marketing, commercial, and casual content — not for legal, medical, financial, or other regulated documents.
Turnaround
Self-service jobs are typically delivered within 48 hours of payment. Rush surcharge (where offered) targets 12 hours but is best-effort, not guaranteed.
Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe. By submitting a job and paying, you authorise us to charge the displayed amount in USD (self-service) or per-contract terms (enterprise). All sales are final once review work has begun.
Refunds
Because reviews involve human time, refunds are at our discretion. We will refund in full if we fail to deliver within seven days of payment, or if the delivered review is materially defective. Subjective disagreement with stylistic choices is not grounds for refund.
Liability
We provide proofreading and quality feedback, not certified or attested translation. Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the affected job. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Acceptable use
- Don't submit content you don't have the right to share.
- Don't submit unlawful, defamatory, or hateful content.
- Don't try to overload the service with abusive automation.
We reserve the right to refuse work and refund payment.
Intellectual property
You retain all rights to your submitted text and the corrected output we deliver. We retain the right to use anonymised, aggregated quality data (no client emails or identifiable text) to improve our service over time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
